Company Background & Mission Statement

 

 Republic Management Corporation is a real estate management company.  The Company is structured with administrative officers, corporate office staff and on-site staff at each property location.  President; Rob Kleiss, directly supervises the Property Managers.  The Property Manager on staff at the corporate office is directly responsible for site management and compliance and is also accountable to the President.  Additional accounting staff at the corporate office handle accounts receivable, accounts payable and various other financial duties. 
A Residential Manager supervises a typical property with a support staff consisting of Maintenance, Janitorial and Leasing Agent personnel.
An important aspect of our organization is the company’s relation with our clients – the property owners.  The company acts as a consultant and employee to our clients.  Although we may “know” what’s best, it is the client’s responsibility (and liability) to give policy directions and make final decisions.  As a licensed real estate agent, the company has a duty to act in the client’s best interest.  We also have a duty to adhere to all real estate laws and regulations.

Real Estate Management Profile
Republic Management was founded by Joseph H. Hollander in 1996 when he saw a need to provide management services to owners who wanted their tenants to be treated like customers in a changing subsidized housing environment.  Republic management was incorporated on September 10th, 1996,  and management of properties began on August 1, 1997.
Personnel

Joseph H. Hollander – Chief Executive Officer, and adviser to Republic Management, Mr. Hollander is an attorney who has worked for the Michigan  State Housing Development Authority, and has been developing subsidized housing since  the 1980’s.Mr. Hollander is the General Partner in multiple MSHDA apartment complexes, and operates Hollander Development Corporation in Portage, Michigan.
Robert Kleiss – President of Republic Management Corporation. Mr. Kleiss began his housing career in grounds and systematically worked his way up to his current position as President of Republic Management. Along with 25 years of experience in the industry Mr. Kleiss also holds a Salesman license, is a Certified Occupancy specialist, Certified Manager of Maintenance as well as a Tax Credit Specialist. Mr. Kleiss has expertise in compliance issues and holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science.
Robyn Bolle – Vice President of Property Management, came to Republic Management in March of 2002 with an extensive background in the Federally Assisted Housing area. Ms. Bolle has managed assisted housing programs since 1977. Ms. Bolle is a Certified Occupation Specialist, Certified Property Manager, Certified Manager of Maintenance, Certified Tax Credit Compliance Professional and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License. Ms. Bolle is currently the Vice President of the Kalamazoo County Housing Commission and has a history of community volunteer experience. Ms. Bolle has a proven track record of reducing vacancies, motivate staff, and auditing tenant files for program compliance.
Tonya M. Johnson-  Controller of Republic Management Corporation. Ms. Johnson came to Republic Management in 2004. Ms. Johnson received her Accounting Degree in 1998 and is in the process of becoming a Certified Managerial Accountant. She also holds designations as a Tax Credit Specialist and Assisted Housing Manager. Ms. Johnson has over 12 years of progressive experience as a controller.
